thanks to jiafang,im now typing what i believe to be my first ever entry for the class blog.what the hell.feel sorry for this blog,cuz it just seems to be lost beneath the enormous flow of information on the worldwide web.

anyway.fast approaching two months after the end of our last A level paper.how you guys doing?for the guys,all are in tekong,away from the creature comforts of their homes,save for me,bo n kelvin.bo n me are working together at ten mile junction's shengsiong,at their CNY plants market.kelvin is at the airport doing auto-clearance and tutoring some neighbor's kid in physics.i hope he doesnt make her fail her O level paper.three more months til april,when the three of us will make our way to tekong to join the rest haha.

being employed,even for just 2 weeks so far,reminds me of the routine life we were all used to when we were way back in school.the order of the day is pretty much the same old,same old daily:wake up,commute,work,commute back,eat,then sleep.it may be monotonous,but it actually helps to take up much of our time,so we don't have too much free time.though i do look forward to waking up at 1p.m in the afternoon once im done with my current working stint.

went back to NJ a couple of weeks ago for the senior-junior match.never thought i'd actually say this,but it really felt good to be back there.the familiarity of the surroundings,and the buzz of the place;made me feel nostalgic.darren twan concurred with me.we muz all be nuts or something huh.couldnt wait to graduate,but now that we are out,we MISS it somehow.you all feeling like that too?haha.

we were all so sheltered from the harsh realities of the dog-eat-dog world out there back in school,but we sure had fun despite our dull grey uniforms,non-existent facilities and crumbling surroundings.should try to have a class gathering,which im sure nubby will organize once he's out on weekends.look forward to seeing you all soon haha.

everybody's moving on,but the memories of our time as the class 06s17 will surely be seared into our minds.

Good grief, it’s a wonder that dust doesn’t puff up on the screen whenever a mouse clicks on link to this stagnant and lifeless blog [IF anyone even bother to drop by]… >.<> – with phantom classmates… =X ], this minute strip of space on virtual reality is banished to an online wasteland, languishing and awaiting the day its existence finally fades away into oblivion completely… Ignoring the egoistic claim in the previous sentence x-P, this dead space was probably well on its journey to its quiet demise; my fresh footprints here possibly extended its lifespan by say…180 days? =S heh… Ambitious as it sounds, but a warm human presence may very well transform the disrepair and despair into a vibrant.......EARTH TO MYSELF!....ahem, a modest and updated establishment… x-) A dose of realism is always handy to cushion the sharp plunge from lofty aspirations to harsh reality, especially when being a part of an existence as fractured as that within the namesake of this blog… >.<

The phenomenon of excessive anticipation draining away the actual excitement on the very day that one has been eagerly awaiting is certainly a bone-crushing disappointment. 22 November 2007, the day that we’ve been looking forward to for two entire years [particularly a certain Miss Vampire =P ] was definitely not a spectacular nor immensely satisfying ending to the tale of our 2-year journey in NJ [my, I hope e 40th student council doesn’t sue me for plagiarism… heheh. More about the “night frozen in time” later… (= ]; a muted affair would be a more appropriate description befitting the first of all post-“A” levels revelry. Not that it was not enjoyable though… =) After yet another garbled attempt [read: failure! Lol… (-x ] to call the impatient class to order to “discuss class matters” [those were our beloved welfare rep, exact words. it’s hilariously solemn…], which yours truly felt, only fuelled the confusion about all the upcoming events, especially since post-exam delirium was setting in… Even Viv’s booming authoritative voice could only capture and sustain the attention of a few rather distracted fellas for several minutes before everyone drifted away into separate group conversations… >.<>None of the discussions held within the school compounds about where to go ever yield a solid conclusion. That’s our trademark. =P ] Following more waiting and bickering over where exactly to head to, we finally found ourselves at dhoby ghaut, where two distinct camps emerged: the pool professionals and the movie aficionados [haha ok not really…]. Naturally, more wrangling ensued before we decided to go on our separate ways for the moment [that’s the crux of all the contention – we didn’t wanna separate! Aww… heheh pardonnez moi…>.< ], with half heading to a pool parlour on one end of the area, and the remainder trudging along in the blistering heat to The Cathay [and some pampered and therefore clueless idiot made mi return to the MRT station to fetch him coz he changed his mind or whatnot at the last min… hmph. Haha…] to catch the must-watch of the month, Enchanted! Though it is one of Walt Disney’s standard feel-good fare, it shattered the cookie-cutter mould with its blend of live action and the usual animated scenes and thoroughly captivated and entertained the audience with a generous helping of humour and unconventional plot. [Fine fine, this is a biased source, and not a collective response from those who watched the movie that day… But the overall review was a positive one… =) ] Perhaps some pictures will explain how we finally caught the movie… heh…

Though the segregation of the two camps only extended slightly beyond the end of the movie, the reunion did not last long [heck, I didn’t manage to capture a group shot of whoever was there. UGH. Imagine the frustration of an avid amateur photographer as the photo opportunity simply kept dancing beyond her grasp. Heh…x-P ]. Concessions from all parties did not gel us together for long due to a stroke of rotten luck; the timing and location was simply not our side. The initial buzz of excitement of heading to Mind’s Café, a novelty for most of us [it’s really a pity; if my party of 5 had a blast there, the fun would have been amplified by the number of us who were present then… >.< ] evaporated upon reaching a café enjoying business from a full house, and with the heat and exhaustion of walking the considerable distance only to be greeted by disappointment setting in, we found our way to Paradiz Centre [a clone of Coronation Plaza undergoing a major facelift. Coro needs one as well. x-P ]. Our intention of having lunch together went unfulfilled [for most of us anyway], for there was only a pathetic food court with several sleepy stalls in a flood of harsh fluorescent lighting [alright, some would say it was falsely cheery and bright… =X ] and we went on our separate ways from there; some guys, flush with cash, off to relieve their fat wallets of money at the arcade, the girls to indulge in retail therapy =D and some others who headed home [possibly disgruntled. =S ]
(Personal note: Retail therapy is pure bliss, especially after a prolonged period of confinement with only books and notes for company, but certainly not when everyone is volunteering to give you a makeover. Regardless of the number of people queuing up to bash me up if I say this, but it is NOT an honour. Haha… )

The day rounded up fairly well with dinner at Mos Burger in Takashimaya [somehow the class always ends up at Mos Burger... Strange eh?], with the remaining five of us [Jinru, Fera, Claire, Chenye and moi] emptied of energy to trawl the malls. Perhaps the confinement has diminished our shopping stamina.. >.<>home sweet home~ x-) [albeit kinda early for my liking... then again... haha...]

Well well, although the premature anticipation and excitement did fizzle out, and tension crept in like knives sliding through the divisive cracks among us during the day, that isn't a satisfactory reason for anyone to fume about it, no? [alright, fume..but not for long right? ^.^ ] After all, we did enjoy ourelves, letting our hair down after having it [together with our brains =X ] knotted so darn tightly with anxiety... =)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhh ahhhhh. The motivation to detail the various post-"A"s class events has vanished, so I shall take the easy way out, considering impatience is rearing its ugly head in moi again... >.<>BACK. To fill in the empty crevices that the camera didn't capture. As and when I feel like it... =P Ciao for now~]

Mahjong madness at Benghui's house... [Her mum's hopsitality and generosity with food is unprecedented... ^.^ heheh... hmmm, maybe the food was necessary to fill out the dents on his head made by the numerous knocks that a very tall Hunkiat took when he stood up during breakfast at Ikea... x-P ]

Harlo everybody. This blog seems to be a bit dead haha. Tried to log-in many times until I found out that I have to use jiafang's username to enter. Lol. Teacher's Day Celebration jz over and Sherm's uploaded the photos to his blog, so I decided to shun bian put them up here as well. Kudos to Jiafang for her wonderful xiong xiong and the puzzles, though its kind of a pity to have a chip missing from every puzzle. I guess its the thought that counts. As the minute hand ticks itself towards midnight, the individuals to which dis blog is affliated and found on the links page of dis site (i.e. the hardcore mugheads whom mi, a renowned indolent lazybum sumhow, by an unlikely twist of fate, share all mi classes wif in sch) are feverishly working, firing those famed brain cells to their limits for they, besotted with the wickedly alluring thick set of notes and enchanting revision packages, are merely expressing their passion for a common pasttime - studyin, thru their punishin n rigorous schedule of mental gymnastics that extends beyonds the usual boundaries of human toleration... Such fervent dedication to their hobby is admirable - despite the questionable justification for the self-infliction of physical ezhuastion and to enslave themselves to mugging - as a matter fact, urs truly has been reduced to a mere pulsating green-eyed minion by witnessin their awe-inspirin devotion... which leads mi dear confounded non-existent readers to the cruz of this aimlessly meandering post: y is dis demented nut polluting the pristine (read: UNtouched) pages of dis blog, instead of tottering in the direction her very kind classmates have been signposting to her ["it's muggin time, u airhead!!"] wif their disciplined behaviour? uh.uhh.uhh.uhhh.uhhhhhhhhhhh rite the famed shortterm memory hav rendered mi unable to field dat qns..wait oh now it cums rushin back to mi horror (a glance at e clock can greatly diminish one's lifespan esp when there aint much time left, thus effectively joltin even a delusional idler back to their senses. x_X more den 20min passed!! ok ok... e date n time of dis post is fake.. x-P) - the main intention was to commerate a special day designated by our beloved welfare rep, Nub, as a tribute to our klaz... significance? look no further den the date... it's kinda silly, but interestingly cute idea... our bbq will b: held at bbq pit no. 5, which is a tad far frm our rm – well all the pits r located quite a dist frm the entire chalet block... =X – on the evening of 15 june 2006...
misc details:
For those staying over, regardless whether it’s one or two nites, pls try to bring ur slpin bag along... esp the guys, coz the bed is off-limits for ya ppl... =P too bad... gentlemen shall allow the gals to relish their stay in comfort – on the bed... since onli a grand total of 4 pillows and 4 blankets will b provided, the bags will certainly cum in handy... x-D
We can onli check into the place after 2pm, n muz evacuate by 10am on 16 june, so... dun nid to bring so mani clothes! Figure there’s not much nid for them except to add to ur baggage...
Well, dis is not v relevant, but guess it’s still beta to let ya ppl noe the rules govering the usage of the chalet rms... =)

Rules and Regulations

Occupants are required to check the inventory in the chalet room upon checking-in and report any discrepancy to the Admin Office within 15 minutes after checking-in.

Pets such as dogs, cats etc and durians are not allowed in the chalet rooms and Clubhouse premises.

Gambling is strictly forbidden in the chalet rooms and Clubhouse premises.

Occupants of chalet rooms must permit reasonable access and inspection of the premises by employees of the Club when required.

The Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage to property belonging to the occupants nor liable for any injury or death suffered by the occupants during the stay at the chalet rooms.

Smoking is not permitted in the Chalet Block, chalet rooms, air-conditioned premises and other designated areas of the Clubhouse.

BBQ activities are allowed only at designated pits at the Clubhouse. Outside caterers are not allowed to supply food or drinks.

The chalet room key should not be detached from the key tag. A fine of $150 will be imposed for loss or damage to the key tag or key.

The Club reserves the right to take action against any occupant found mis-using the room or contravening the regulations. Such action may lead to the occupant being evicted immediately from the premises without any refund. He may also be barred from booking the chalet room(s) in future.

Occupants are requested to ensure that noise level is kept to a minimum, especially after 12 midnight.

All occupants are required to keep the chalet room and surrounding premises clean at all times.

Occupants are not allowed to bring in or use any electrical equipment/appliance in to the chalet room.

Cooking is not allowed in the chalet rooms.

1 unit is entitled to 4 complimentary passes (non-transferable) for swimming or for entry to the Jackpot Room and 1 complimentary carpark label (non-transferable). Complimentary passes are issued upon request during the period of stay.

on a lighter note, anybody thinks we should have a yahoo grp on top of the blog? cuz the blog isn't exactly the best way to discuss stuff, cuz we can't all tag the tag box rite... we can use the blog to announce stuff ahile we use the yahoo grp to discuss. it's jus a suggestion, type ur feedback & if the response is good, i'll set it up.

Hi all. Why nobody update de? Haha. Basically, this blog is for the class and everyone can edit the template, add posts, discussions, pictures, interesting links etc. So its really up to anyone to do anything. Just dun flame anyone on the blog can le.

Before I go for my shooting camp later, here's some info. The Mother Tongue Department has this Encounter China Programme that allows us to learn more abt the culture, history, geography, food, literature of China. Its a small group of about 10 to 20 people in the computer lab (with AIRCON!) once a week and the programme is discussion-based and pretty informal. No tests or exams and everyone will be given a certificate at the end of the lesson, something you can put in your portfolio. However, I feel that we should go for the exposure and interest. I chose the course coz I dun wanna lose touch with my mother tongue and I really encourage everyone to consider taking up the course as all of us don't take mother tongue anymore.

Presently, I'm in the course and Kelvin is joing too. So everyone sms me or tell me on Monday during the Arts Talk if you are interested so that I can submit the timetable together as a class next week. Thanks a lot!

Some other announcements. The relay system works like this. When Ms Masnidah (MM) has something urgent to inform us outside school etc, she will message me and Keshia, where both of us will message the next person in the system. For example, when I message Chen Ye and Hun Kiat, both of them will reply me when they received the message and pass down respectively. Suppose I do not receive their reply after two hours, I send the message to the recipients of Chen Ye and Hun Kiat and call both of them so that the system won't break down. It works like a parallel circuit so the message will more likely reach everyone.

In short: Send a reply to the sender and pass down the message when you receive one. Call your recipient should you not receive a reply after two hours and pass the message to your recipient's recipient.

For Funtasia, since we are swapping with another class for the food stall, please spend some time thinking about the possible food that we can sell and the cost, raw materials etc coz we need to do up the draft proposal by Week 3 Wednesday. There's a lot business proposals and forms in the stack and we'll discuss it along the way.

For Enrichment week, no assembly unless you have an activity at 8am. Remember our class is having a discussion for Funtasia after the two Arts talk on Monday and Friday. Also, people who haven't handed me the Funtasia form please give to me by Mon and people who haven't paid the money for bio notes ($1.35), class and relay list ($0.15) and PW notes ($1.00) > total $2.50 please pass it to me on Monday also.

Most importantly, we'll be taking CLASS PHOTO on Monday. More details will be given through the relay system.

Ok that's all. Shall pack my stuff and go for my camp after watching the doubles table tennis match :) Take care everyone. =D

Oh. the bronze medal match just ended. Gold medal match up next but Singapore'll be getting BRONZE SILVER GOLD for table tennis doubles. Also 2 BRONZES 1 SILVER 1 GOLD for shooting @ Commonwealth Game in Melbourne. Singapore all the way all the way Singapore!

Hello everyone. SK1 here. Well, this blog is created mainly to serve as an avenue for us to post announcements, inform the class about urgent notices, as a discussion board for class issues and also for all of us to interact further. So I really hope this blog would become lively in the near future.

I've spent some time typing the class list and it'll be passed around tmr for checking before I print them.

After balloting, our class is allocated the games stall and I think we'll need to spend some time planning the business plan etc for Funtasia2. I think we desperately need a treasurer and we'll also need to come up with ideas for class deco and stuff.
